Randomness Makes the World Go 'Round
I have been watching the debt clock for the last hour; it is quite depressing how the total increases in $100,000 increments every 1 second rather than minutes or hours.
So, onto a more meaningful post ...
Last week was exam week, and I can proudly say that I conquered them. But if there is any important lesson to be learned about exams, it is to start preparations three to four days ahead of time. It seems tedious at first, but hard core studying definitely pays off in the end. I have also caught wind of a few floating rumors that the Chemistry 120 final lab exam is nearly impossible. I guess that means that it is time to start three weeks in advance ...
Lately, my friends have been running horror movie marathons. I'm not much of a horror movie fan, because I often fall into spasms of fear three weeks after watching them, but this Friday we are planning on seeing The Fourth Kind. I'm already panicking. I have to toughen up because my brother is coming into town for this (Yay!). So hopefully I don't have a heart attack during the movie ...
I bought bread! But I don't have any spread for it ... It's just a lonely loaf of bread ... waiting to be loved with some PB&J. I really feel sorry for it, or rather, I feel more sorry for my wallet. I need to cut down on my spending. That's just one of the cons about being on your own; it's hard to manage a good budget from all the temptations lying around Target or Walmart. See, just to make my bread happy, I now have to spend more money on peanut butter and jelly. Great.
I'm sorry for the short post, but I'll try to do better next time!

Introductions Make the World Go 'Round
Hello World!
My name is Cheryl.
I'm glad that I am a part of the University of Tennessee's blogging team this year!
I guess a good place to start with this thing is to introduce myself. Well, 18 years ago, I was born right here in Knoxville, Tennessee. So whether I'm Korean or Chinese, I don't think it really matters. I'm American!
I have five family members, including a dog. We probably spoil the living soul out of that poor beagle, but she's living a good life. My family currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee, because six years ago, we found bigger opportunities on the west side of the state. Is there a difference between Knoxville and Memphis? Yes! There definitely is, and that may require a separate post to dive into. However, if you ever get the chance to visit either city, I'm sure you will soon find out just how different those two places are!
I am currently a freshman pursuing a future in psychology and premed. I am still trying to get used to this enormous campus, but if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer! So far I have been living at UTK for two months, and I like what I am experiencing. My personality is shy, but the friends I have made here have helped me come out of my shell.
Some of my hobbies include cooking, soccer, running, origami, hanging out with friends, and surfing the internet. I hope you bear with me, as I will try to update often. But it looks like it is going to be a great year!
