[a lesson in procrastination]

time: 11:37pm
current song: shark attack [senses fail]

There is definitely something satisfying about sitting under Greve Hall with a copy of the Weekly Hangover watching a group of people play a game that they call four-square; but, since there is no giggling idiot screaming "CHERRY BOMB!" as s/he tries to slam the ball through the concrete to the very core of this earth, aforementioned game they are playing is NOT four-square.

Ah, my friends, this is college.

For me, at least.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jessica. I hail from a small city outside of Seattle Washington, but I moved to Nashville when I was thirteen, right after the onset of puberty.

[WARNING TO PARENTS: Do not. I repeat. DO NOT move more than 10 miles from your current residence with a pre-teen/teenager. Results = Not pretty.]

After the move, I found I really had a knack for story-writing and making up my own friends, I made real friends. Fast-forward five years and here I am, major less, homeworkless, and listless, sitting under Greves Hall watching a mock game of four-square. By the way, I live in Hess Hall, not Massey. For those of you not familiar with the area, Massey Hall is about a 3
0 second walk to Greves Hall while Hess Hall is about a 5 to 10 minute walk. Greves, might I also mention, is not a coed dorm, therefore, there is no hope for any passers-by that I live here. Anyhow, I also might mention that my birthday is in January; I will be nineteen, and am now accepting gifts.

I'm not exactly sure how I wound up at good ole UT Knoxville, but I assure you, when I figure it out I will let you know. Either way, now I'm blogging for UT, which also surprises me because I was 20 minutes late for my interview because I couldn't find Circle Park (Which, my friends, is a REALLY FREAKING IMPORTANT area). And by the way, I believe I was supposed to have had this written approximately 24 hours ago. Go me.

I hope to enlighten you, entertain you, and possibly force my music upon you (Am I allowed to say that?). Prospective students, paren
ts, friends, family, life partners, future acquaintances, enemies, Neda, and Josh:

Welcome to my world
.
