Greg's Second Adventure
Last weekend, my brother Greg, as described in "Nate Talbot 2.0" came down to visit. He flew in Thursday night, and one of the new guys on my floor, Hunter, came with me to pick him up. Friday, I have class straight through 10:10-3:20, so Greg had to fend for himself for the 5 hour block. He touched up his college application to come here, and he went and talked to my boss in undergraduate admissions. I met him over at her office, and after we left we found a couple people that wanted to see Greg. He loves to come visit and see all these people, and he is getting more and more excited and set on coming to UT. Saturday we tailgated before the game, I thought it would be clever to make breakfast food since the game started around Noon. Turns out, my grill isn't hot enough to cook bacon or pretty much anything on it, Epic Fail. It was fun though, a group of my friends showed up and we all sat around having poorly toasted bagels and English muffins together. The game was a blast, Obviously. (we won 63-7) I got Greg a student Ticket, and he knew a bunch of the people sitting with us or around us. At one point, one of my friends made the comment to him that if he does come here, he'll know more people than she does. It was really funny, because its not true, and it illustrates how different his freshman year here would be from mine. Sunday and Monday are more of a blur, it was just a fast-paced social time. We tried to see as many people as he could before he left, and it was great, I always love it when he comes to visit.
I apologize for the shortness and picturelessness of this blog. I will have time to write a great one soon. Still accumulating thought and pictures for the ones coming up.
"YES! We finally found the Ghetto."
